Wayfinding process

How do we approach wayfinding?

We apply a human-centred design process to wayfinding which involves spending time learning how different people use the existing space. This could include stakeholder workshops, customer interviews and spending time on-site undertaking direct observations of the physical space. We analyse factors like signage effectiveness, spatial layout and user behaviour. This informs the design of intuitive and efficient navigation systems, ensuring seamless user experiences in physical spaces.

Why do we focus on wayfinding?

Wayfinding research is essential for creating user-friendly environments. By studying how individuals navigate spaces, we can design intuitive wayfinding systems that enhance user experiences. Effective wayfinding reduces confusion and frustration, ultimately leading to more positive interactions with physical space

When do we focus on wayfinding?

Wayfinding research is conducted when designing or evaluating physical spaces, such as retail environments, or public facilities. It plays a pivotal role in ensuring that spaces are designed with user navigation and orientation in mind, ultimately enhancing overall usability and satisfaction.
