At Nomat, we believe in the power of design, collaboration and innovation to create meaningful change. For more than 10 years, we have had the privilege of partnering with Global Girl Project (GGP), an organisation dedicated to equipping young women around the world with the confidence, skills and leadership opportunities they need to create lasting impact in their communities.

GGP offers cultural exchange programs that enable young women from places like Haiti, Rwanda and Pakistan to travel and attend a five-week program focused on social change through community development. This on-the-ground experience is supported by online learning designed to build their confidence as emerging community leaders.

This long-standing partnership reflects more than just a series of projects; it represents a shared commitment to equity, empowerment and building pathways for young women to thrive.

Shared Values, Shared Impact

Global Girl Project’s vision to empower girls through education, leadership and community engagement aligns strongly with Nomat’s own values of inclusion, human-centred design and long-term impact. By supporting GGP, we aim to amplify voices that are too often unheard and to contribute to the creation of culturally responsive, community-led solutions.

Over the years, our work together has spanned digital platforms, design support and strategic collaboration, always guided by the principle that the outcomes must serve young women first. We are proud to help build tools and programs that extend GGP’s reach, strengthen their engagement with partners globally and give young leaders the resources to continue making change in their own contexts.

Building for the Future

Most recently, we’ve been working with GGP to strengthen their digital presence through a review of their website and communications. The current goals we are supporting include:

  • Developing evergreen content and removing outdated information.

  • Ensuring consistent language across the site to improve clarity and accessibility.

  • Raising visibility and awareness to support fundraising efforts.

Our review identified both long-term opportunities and quick wins. These include updating page templates, improving calls-to-action, and strengthening connections between campaigns, donation pages and social media. Together, these improvements will help highlight the strength of GGP’s mission and directly support its fundraising goals.

Looking Ahead

As GGP continues to expand its impact across regions and communities, Nomat remains committed to walking alongside them as a partner. We see our role not only in delivering design expertise but in helping create sustainable systems that allow young women to lead with confidence, courage and clarity.

Partnerships like this remind us why we do what we do: to use design to enable possibility, foster equity and support organisations working at the heart of social change.

We are deeply proud of our journey with Global Girl Project, and even more excited about what the next decade of collaboration will bring.

Three People You Didn't Know Were Great designers

We explore how Federer, Obama and Dr Hamlin can show us that success starts with understanding the system. We look at how they each approached their field with intention, foresight and a designer’s mindset.
